Direct Support Professional (Full-Time)

We are looking for dedicated, caring and professional individuals who share in our passion to provide the highest quality services centered on our individual’s needs and preferences, promoting dignity, respect, achievement and a positive outlook for the individuals we serve. EFN is currently for candidates for a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) at our day services. 

As a DSP, you will be working with individuals having intellectual/developmental and/or physical disabilities by providing assistance in multiple areas with responsibilities including:

  • Coordinating and accompanying individuals on outings into the community, thereby encouraging community involvement and integration.
  • Providing habilitation services to each individual as directed in their ISP and safety plan.
  • Providing and maintaining accurate, current, and thorough documentation.
  • Ensuring the safety of the people we serve.
  • Assisting each individual with skill development in areas such as activities of daily living.
  • Administering medication as prescribed and in compliance with assigned state regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring prescribed dietary needs are met.
  • Providing personal care assistance.
  • Working in a positive team environment to promote and model productive behaviors.

Candidate Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Age minimum 19 years
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Valid Nebraska Driver's License (other states may be considered for short term).
  • Proof of auto insurance

Candidates must successfully complete and pass all background checks including:

  • Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Adult Protective Services Central Registry
  • Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Protective Services Central Registry
  • Essential Screening Backgrounds (private consulting firm)

Experience working with individuals having intellectual, behavioral and/or physical disabilities is preferred, but candidates who are anticipating going into a related field of study are encouraged to apply.
