Assistant Day Services Coordinator

Extended Families of Nebraska, LLC provides day and residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). We are looking for dedicated, caring, and professional individuals who share our passion to provide the highest quality services centered on the individual's needs and preferences, promoting dignity, respect and achievement for the individuals we serve. EFN is currently for candidates for a full-time Assistant Day Services Coordinator (ADSC) at our day services.

The Assistant Day Service Coordinator position is a leadership role that includes overseeing Direct Support Professionals in the day service setting. The position also includes working with and overseeing a caseload of individuals with intellectual/developmental and/or physical disabilities by providing assistance in multiple areas with responsibilities including:

  • Coordinating and accompanying individuals on outings into the community, thereby encouraging community involvement and integration.
  • Providing habilitation services to individuals as directed in their ISP and safety plan.
  • Ensuring accurate, current, and thorough documentation is kept.
  • Ensuring the safety of the people we serve.
  • Assisting individuals with skill development in areas such as activities of daily living.
  • Administering medication as prescribed and in compliance with assigned state regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring prescribed dietary needs are met.
  • Providing personal care assistance.
  • Working in a positive team environment to promote and model productive behaviors.

Successful candidates must be highly organized, a self-starter, and can multi-task, as well as have intermediate level computer and writing skills. Knowledge of “Therap” is required. A minimum of an Associate’s degree, or commensurate experience, as well as 2 years of working in the field of developmental disabilities is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance with a reliable vehicle. This position is located in Lincoln.

  • Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Adult Protective Services Central Registry
  • Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Child Protective Services Central Registry
  • Essential Screening Backgrounds (private consulting firm)
